“May the odds be ever in your favor.” That is one of the quotes from “Catching Fire,” the second science fiction book in the Hunger Games Trilogy. The story takes place after our main characters Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark won the 74th Hunger Games. Katniss is traumatized from the effects of the Hunger Games as she arrived home to District 2. Peeta and Katniss are forced to start a victory tour where they travel to different districts to give their eulogies to the other tributes, who had failed to make it out alive in the Hunger games. But after the victory tour, Katniss and Peeta are forced to come back to the Hunger Games for the 75th Anniversary. The characters go through a lot in this story and the story ends with a cliffhanger.
I find this story really enjoyable. It really pulls you into the story and is a well-crafted story. The story seems to be told through the eyes of Katniss and narrated by her. It’s really fast paced, and suspenseful. I recommend this book for ages 11 to 18. If you enjoyed the book, then you should read the first book as well as this third.
