Journey to Mohawk Country

November 17, 2010May 9, 2012 saralissapaulson

This is a favorite unit to discuss the cultural exchange between Dutch and Mohawk nations. The kids can visualize what it was like from George O’Connor’s graphic novel adaptation of the journal of Herman Van der Bogaert.

Respecting yourself and others

November 17, 2010 saralissapaulson

Respect yourself and others from PS347 Library on Vimeo.

1st graders illustrated what it looked like to respect yourself and others and what it didn’t look like after a lesson and read aloud their vignettes. I made it into a short movie.
