All set for Library classes?

Please check the Edith Kleberg Library link on our homepage for my schedule.

Please schedule to meet with me for a brief meeting this week so we are on the same page for the year. Please bring your curriculum calendar to the meeting.

Before your first visit:
1. All students must return their library contract.
2. All students K-8 should return the home computer survey.
3. All students should bring their summer reading log, if they did it this summer.
4. I must meet with 1-8th grade teachers.

Looking forward to seeing you!

Sara

Welcome back, teachers!

I hope everyone had a good reading summer! You are sure to talk about it tomorrow with your students! Please have students turn in their summer reading logs to me. They will get them back on our first Spirit Day along with a gold-sealed certificate. Depending on how many are returned, we might even host a pizza party. Check out my Shelfari page to see what I have been reading! Think about setting up your own virtual bookshelf.

Please sign up for a period to visit the library weekly, check out books, and take a look at the open access hours when you can come down to do work on long-term technology and inquiry projects.

Come check out books, audio books, and DVDs for your classroom, too.

Also, please schedule to meet me for 15 minutes to discuss our curricular plan of action. Before you come, please look at Media Center Lessons, which is essentially my curriculum map. Also bring your curriculum map and let’s see how we can integrate information skills into your plan and collaborate on any inquiry, genre, or author studies you have scheduled.

Enjoy our new library website, too!

Library will officially open for students and classes on Monday, September 21st.
